what are hydrosols?

In the making of essential oils, two products are created: the essential oil itself, and hydrosol. Hydrosol is a steam-distilled extract of specific aromatic plants that contains essential oil, natural fragrance and plant “energetics.” Hydrosols are authentic, highly saturated, aromatheraputic medicinal extracts.

Extracted from the leaves and flower tops of the herb, rosemary hydrosol is fresh, fragrant, and herbal. A good antidote for lethargy and poor concentration. Use as mist for mild relief from respiratory problems. Excellent hair conditioner and scalp treatment. Increases circulation when used in lymphatic massage. Invigorating fragrance for sauna, spa or bath.
